The 40th anniversary of the National and Independence Day of Bangladesh celebrated

Bangladesh Embassy in Beijing has celebrated 40th Anniversary of Independence and National Day of Bangladesh on 26 March 2011.

A reception was hosted at the Beijing Marriott North East Hotel on 29th March 2011 for the event during which Chinese Vice foreign minister Li Jin Zhang, diplomats and other guests were also present. During the reception, the Bangladeshi ambassador Munshi Faiz Ahmad praised the fact that the partnership between China and Bangladesh has become closer over time. He also re-affirmed the Bangladeshi government's commitment towards achieving a "Digital Bangladesh" and turning the country into a middle-income country.
