Foreign Students Celebrate 2nd International Cultural Festival In Chongqing University
Chongqing University, China celebrated its rich 2nd international cultural festival from 22 to 24 November 2012. More than 500 foreign students from 96 different countries participated in the festival with a festive mood. Overseas students built 38 different booths to display music, food, traditional clothes, currency and words from their hometowns.
The event was open to everyone, attracted over ten thousand visitors who came to enjoy the festival. Foreign students from different countries also enjoyed sharing their culture and learning about others.
Currently there are six Bangladeshi students studying at Chongqing University, also took part in the festival to showcase unique culture of Bangladesh. Along with photos, traditional clothes, music, different types of authentic Bangladeshi food were also served to promote the cultural diversity and heritage of Bangladesh.
The organizing committee believes that the festival will promote mutual understanding between different cultures, as well as strengthening the friendship between foreign students.
